Corné Gabriëls works and resides in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. After graduating at the Rietveld Academy of Arts, he attended the Sandberg Institute Amsterdam and Fashion Institute Arnhem. Ever since he presented his works at venues such as, Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam, De Appel, Prix de Rome, Festival des arts de la mode Hyeres, Dutch Touch Paris, Amsterdam International Fashion Week and Prelude by Dutch Fashion Foundation.

Following his initial collections, Corné Gabriëls continues to focus more closely on the details in clothes. His work is best described as pure, straightforward and basic. Corné Gabriëls’ work consists of a conceptual approach and fine detailing.

He works on different aspects of fashion like, clothing and accessories, but also dresscodes and human behaviour. He uses existing concepts and forms, but changes the focus or use. This gives Gabriëls’ work both a classic and contemporary feel.
