 Conny Groenewegen has a distinctive attitude towards the design of fashion. She is known for her refinement in detail with an exhausting level of material research, first expressed with laser cut leather in CG’s 2006 Rupture collection. In 2007 CG began a study in digital knitting developing a range of techniques with structure and volumes through the use of floating elastic threads featured in the 2007 Deliberate Pixelation collection. Material research is the key element in the development of CG’s designs. Her sources of inspiration fluctuate between art, contemporary ways of living and a merging of traditional crafts with new digital techniques. CG was launched in 2002 and worked with internationally well known brands and personalities such as; Droog Design, Alexander van Slobbe, Yoshiki Hishinuma and Nude. The goal for the next two years is to gain international visibility and to continue expanding CG’s market with well defined contemporary fashion and accessories for women.
